CRANFORD, NJ – If you live in Cranford, it’s hard to miss the impact of TimberRidge Construction. From their office on North Avenue to their thoughtful renovation of local landmarks like the Cranford Presbyterian Church, the family-owned firm has become deeply woven into the fabric of the community. Whether it’s constructing shelves for Cranford Family Care or sponsoring Project Home’s Ladies Night Out, TimberRidge has spent the past 20 years building more than just homes—they’ve built lasting relationships.

Anthony and Lisa Carbone launched TimberRidge Construction in 2005, not long after welcoming their two children. TAPinto Cranford spoke to Lisa Carbone who said,  “When selecting a name, we intentionally chose not to use our family name, wanting something that felt both meaningful and timeless. Timber’ represents the foundation of our craft, while ‘Ridge’ represents the protective slopes of a house, symbolizing strength and shelter,” she said. “Together, the name reflects both our commitment to quality craftsmanship and our passion for creating beautiful homes.”

Soon after founding the company, the Carbones moved from Warren to Cranford, initially running the business from their home.  “Our earliest projects came from within our personal network, friends in towns like Warren, Westfield, and surrounding areas. These initial contracts helped build our confidence and allowed us to hone our process,” Carbone continued. “We believed that if we could exceed the expectations of the people we knew, it would lay the foundation for expanding our reach and reputation throughout the broader community.”

Today, TimberRidge’s work can be seen on many streets in Cranford. “In the past five years alone, we’ve worked on over 100 homes in town,” said Carbone. “Our projects have covered bathroom and kitchen updates to basement makeovers, additions, and full custom home builds. We’re proud to have played a part in so many Cranford homes over the years.”

To celebrate their 20th anniversary, TimberRidge is inviting clients—past and present—to a special event on May 9 at their office at 194 North Ave East. It’s a heartfelt thank-you to the community that has supported them from the beginning.

“Over the years, we’ve worked hard to maintain a high standard of excellence. We deliberately remain a small, hands-on company so that we may give each project the attention it deserves.”
